Bergen Kunsthall is an international center for contemporary visual art. Their activities concentrate on the production of exhibitions, as well as ideas, theory and debate. They focus on presentation and dialogue, publication activities, lecture and concert series, actively challenging the established conventions for art’s production and reception. As a publisher of books, Bergen Kunsthall initiate and produce a number of titles each year, often in collaboration with international publishers such as Sternberg Press, Mousse, Koenig Books, Dancing Foxes Press and others. Recent titles include monographs and text anthologies with artists such as Sandra Mujinga, Beatrice Gibson, Jill Johnston, Joachim Koester, Mari Slaattelid and Peter Wächtler.
