PUBLICS is a curatorial agency with a dedicated library, event space and reading room in Vallila. The organisation explores a “work together” institutional model with multiple overlapping objectives, thematic strands and collaborations. The space functions as a public space for a library of over 6000 publications and its talks, events and performances. PUBLICS is an educational platform where artists, students and communities are invited to engage with social issues and share knowledge through various discourses. These initiatives develop in parallel with longer-term curatorial projects. PUBLICS is under the artistic direction of Paul O’Neill with program manager Eliisa Suvanto.
